Don’t settle for an old thinning hose for your tough jobs. Blue Dog carries Panblast abrasive blasting hose in both 2-ply and 4-ply. With tough exteriors and reinforced inner-liners, find the length you need from our selection of powerful blasting equipment below.
Before you make your purchase, here are a few keys to choosing the right blast hose:
ID SIZE
Note that the hose should be 3 times bigger than the nozzle size. Check the hose ID to determine how it measures up to the nozzle size. Every Blue Dog product is clearly labeled and we also offer a selection of quality nozzles. Improper sizing causes unnecessary wear and tear on the inside of your blasting tube which leads to a shorter lifespan for your equipment. Proper sizing not only increases the lifespan, but ensures that the air pressure is not lost from hose to surface.LENGTH
Contractors need two hoses for abrasive blasting jobs and each requires a different length to ensure the best blasting power. The first hose is the one attached from the air compressor to the blast pot and the second hose runs from the blast pot to your work surface. The first hose is typically longer and requires a larger ID size because the compressor, unlike the blast pot is not highly portable. A longer hose from compressor to blast pot give your more mobility and the larger ID ensures that the blasting medium gets to the pot. The second hose from blast pot to work surface should be short, so you can get the maximum amount of pressure from the hose. Find the perfect ID size and length for your blasting needs here.2-Ply Hoses
Blue Dog Blasting, your one-stop shop for serious sandblasting equipment, provides a hardy line of 2-ply blast hoses. The Blue Dog 2-ply hose accepts properly-sized couplings and nozzles and is compatible with all forms of blast media. In terms of hose size offerings, the 2-ply lies between the supa hose and 4-ply line. Whereas the supa is a skinnier and more flexible hose, the 2-ply hose offers a stiffer alternative for serious abrasive blasting jobs. But in comparison to 4-ply hoses, the 2-ply offers increased flexibility without sacrificing durability. Each 2-ply hose comes with reinforced features, just like our 4-ply series, and is often used for similar industrial jobs. A 2 ply sandblasting hose is made with two liners:- An abrasive resistant natural rubber liner consisting of two layers
- A high tensile, textile cord reinforced liner.
4-Ply Hoses
If you’re in the market for a serious piece of abrasive blasting equipment with more support and higher pressure than a 2 braid or Supa hose, then the 4 ply abrasive blasting hose is the natural next step. Our 4 ply blast hose is made with two liners:- An abrasive resistant natural rubber liner consisting of four layers with a high tensile
- A textile cord reinforced liner
