The Empire style deadman remotely starts and stops blasting by acting as an on/off switch on the twin line. Pressurized air flows through the twin line (aka duel line) and tells controls at the pot, like a Combo valve, to allow blasting to get done. The deadman allows this pressurized air to flow.
This dead man is a non-bleed style and also works with Schmidt and Graco machines and many others. We call it Empire/Schmidt style because it was made for those units. It has two different size fittings to attach to your twin line. One side is 1/8″ and the other is 1/4″. Don’t forget to get some new twinline while you’re at it!!
