The Empire style deadman is a pneumatically operated control handle that remotely starts and stops blasting by acting as an on/off switch on the twin line. Because the system relies entirely on pressurized air flowing through the twin line (aka dual line) to signal controls at the pot—like a Combo valve—it functions as a pneumatic handle. Pressing the handle completes this pneumatic circuit, allowing the pressurized air to flow and activate the blasting process.
This dead man is a non-bleed style and also works with Schmidt and Graco machines and many others. We call it Empire/Schmidt style because it was made for those units. It has two different size fittings to attach to your twin line. One side is 1/8″ and the other is 1/4″. Don’t forget to get some new twinline while you’re at it!!
